Denver Botanic Gardens "Blossoms of Light"
You and your entire family is invited to kick off your holiday season at the CPOM Family Holiday Lights Event at the Denver Botanic Gardens on Saturday, December 15, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. See the Denver Botanic Gardens in a different light this holiday season as it is transformed into a winter wonderland at the 19th Annual Blossoms of Light. More than 1 million colorful lights draped in elegant designs will illuminate the plants and hardscapes throughout the Gardens. Romantic and popular kissing spots will return, as well as the popular HoloSpex glasses, which magically transform the lights into shimmering snowflakes. Seasonal entertainment will be featured Thursday through Sunday of each week for the duration of Blossoms of Light.
Stroll through the Botanic Gardens with your family and see all the holiday lights and then join other members of CPOM afterwards for a reception with hot chocolate and sweet treats! You will receive discounted tickets at a cost of $7.00 for adults and $5.50 for children ages 4 & up for the CPOM Holiday Event (Kids 3 & under are free) and tickets include entrance to the Blossoms of Light and for refreshments at the CPOM reception following. Tickets must be reserved in advance by contacting CPOM Treasurer Lisa Fyles at Treasurer@coloradopom.org by December 7, 2007 with the number of tickets you will be reserving for your family. She will put your reservations on a master list and you can pick up your tickets at the CPOM Check-in table when you arrive. Calendar Cash
Cold hard cash? YES! CPOM is hosting a Calendar Cash 50-50 Jackpot Split fundraiser! One lucky winner will walk away with 50% of the cash jackpot up to $300.00 ($150.00 each) and just in time for the holidays since our jackpot drawing will be on Saturday, December 15th at the CPOM Blossoms of Light event at the Botanic Gardens.
CPOM is selling Calendar Squares of the important dates in your life--for example: You can buy your twins' birthday, your husband's birthday, your anniversary or any other important 'date' you want and if your Calendar square is drawn YOU walk away with 50% of the jackpot of cold hard cash!
For this CPOM fundraiser, Calendar Squares will cost $5.00 each OR you can get 5 squares for $20.00 (that's buy 4 get 1 free!) all for a great cause--to support CPOM so we can present more statewide events and family fun! So, you could spend $20.00 and walk away with $150.00!!! The winner will split all the proceeds raised for the jackpot with CPOM 50%-50% up to $300.00 raised ($150.00 each). All proceeds raised above $300.00 will be given to CPOM, the statewide parents of multiples organization in Colorado! Since this is a fundraiser AND because we want to get the cash jackpot up as high as we can by selling as many dates on the calendar as we can, please help us spread the word that calendar squares are available for sale now until December 15th and you can help us sell squares to your friends and family to increase the jackpot!
All calendar dates or squares are available first-come, first-serve and until sold. You can send an email with your contact information to reserve your particular dates or squares to Christa Reed, CPOM Past President/Advisor at advisor@coloradopom.org and then pay for your squares at the CPOM Holiday Lights event on December 15th and before the jackpot drawing. Squares will be for sale at the Holiday Lights event, too!
CPOM must have the money for the date or square before it is considered officially sold so any reserved dates or squares that someone does not pay for will then once again be available for sale. When sending your calendar square reservations, you will be notified at that time if those dates have already been sold. If you cannot attend the drawing, you must mail your money for your squares to Lisa Fyles, CPOM Treasurer, Treasurer@coloradopom.org and must be received no later then December 12, 2007 in order to keep your reserved calendar dates and to qualify for the jackpot drawing.

2008 CPOM Convention

The Eagle County MOMS is pleased to announce that they have booked Jon & Kate Gosselin from The Learning Channel's (TLC) Jon & Kate Plus 8 TV Show for their new keynote speakers. Jon & Kate Gosselin have a set of 6-year-old twins and 3-year-old sextuplets! As seen on their popular TV show airing on TLC, they will share with all of us their incredible story of their amazing life with two sets of multiples at our CPOM 35th State Convention on May 16, 17, 18, 2008 at the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa so you will want to register early for this very special weekend.
Also, new for the Sunday morning keynote speaker & Saturday workshop lineup is Marianne Neifert, M.D., M.T.S., nationally known as Dr. Mom® she is an acclaimed motivational speaker who addresses sizzling topics on life balance and positive parenting for our hectic times. In addition to being a dynamic speaker, renowned pediatrician, best-selling author, and medical educator, Dr. Mom is the mother of five adult children-all born during her medical training. She combines her professional expertise, personal experience, and practical wisdom to offer sage advice about a host of lifestyle and family issues.
